A 97th Birthday Party in Skørping

After leaving Gothenburg, we stopped in a town south of Aalborg called Skørping, which is were Timo's grandmother lives. We were there to celebrate her 97th birthday. She is always all smiles when we visit her, and this time was no exception. She kept asking me if we were happy to be moving back to the US. I think she feels that she won't see us again now that we will be moving so far away. It has been a blessing to us (and to her, I imagine) to live close enough to see her every year. Last year, she even traveled to see us here in Sweden.

I didn't get any pictures the first day, but I took plenty during the party.

Mormor and her friends. They have been there at every celebration that I have attended.
I realize the pictures are only interesting to family members, but I tried to make an effort to get pictures of Mormor with everyone since we don't know when (or if) we will have a chance to get together again.

She was sad at the end of her party, and I can't blame her. She knew we were heading out to our next destination, and it is always hard to say good-bye.
