Sweden: Gothenburg Day 2

I awoke early, before anyone else, and I finally decided to get up. As a result, the girls and I were ready to go shortly after breakfast, while the boys still needed extra time. We took advantage of this time to head out early for some extra photos. It paid off as we managed to get a photo with all of us (girls), taken by a kind passerby.

After this photo, we walked down to the opera house, which was under construction and therefore underwhelming as a photo op. We did, however, enjoy the boats docked in the harbor and used those a our backdrop instead.

Then we walked down to the Maritime museum. This was a huge regret for me since I realized the day before that it was closed during the week in May. It would have been a fun exhibition to explore, with a German U-boat and a destroyer as part of the ships one could tour.

The boys caught up with us shortly after that, and we planned out a walking path to hit some photo-worthy sites on the way to a park. It was more than three miles, but the promise of a park kept Joy walking in spite of it all.

Meanwhile, I managed to get some fun photos along the way. What a good sport Timothy was to just amble through the streets for my sake.

Once we arrived at the park, Joy was in heaven, but the other kids found fun in it all as well.

Once we left the park, we headed towards the hotel via some gardens which held an additional playground and an ice cream stand.

After finishing our ice cream, we headed back to the hotel for some down time before dinner. All of the girls fell asleep, and I had to wake them to go to dinner.

At the end of the day, I was pretty tired, but it was a great day of just exploring Gothenburg in a new way.
